Before inking the plate I tried a blind emboss. (Thank you advertising background.) Love it. I need to build a bit higher. With a class like this I was not able to experiment with a second or third layer of ink. These monotypes are all made with one pass through the press.

I love conceptual wordplay and you’ll find it in a lot of my art. Here’s the first one I did in this medium. It plays on the experience of learning a new thing and wanting to do it right as well as taking into account that what I am learning is a “graphy” meaning “to write.”
